Bringing Jesus to the Hurting
TRADITION IS NOT A TWO EDGED SWORD
God's Blessings to you all,
I pray your week has been a very blessed and productive week. I thank God for every day that I wake up in my right mind with breath to praise His Great Name. Today I come to you with a word from the Lord. As I rose from my sleep this morning at 4am, the Holy Spirit spoke this scripture to me and I got up to reference the Holy Spirit. As I began to meditate and yield to the Spirit of the Lord He led me to research the meaning of what it was He wanted to convey to me and this is what He said: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrew 4:12)
My friends as we all know or should know that God's word is true and every inch of the Bible has to live itself out before Jesus return. God had already predestine certain things to take place before Jesus return and if you are Spiritually minded and know the word of the Lord and can read between the signs of the time then you should well know that Jesus is soon to come sooner than we know. Even though God has also told us that "no man knows the day nor the hour that Jesus will come", just know that it is soon. Time is whining down and we are getting closer and closer to His return. But what God wanted to convey in this message is this, the churches of today are in a "hot mess", they are so out of touch with the ways of God and God's truth that it just hurts Him to no end. The churches today are so caught up on tradition and their own ways and laws and ways of doing things and the way they want people to follow them that they have taken their one focus off God have turned themselves into the God of the people.
If any of you have time to visit this passage in the bible please do so it will bless your spirit as well as give you a better understanding as to what the spirit of the Lord is saying to the church. (Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23)
How can we relate our lives to this story? Do we have practices or objects that mean so much more to us that we could be worshipping them rather than God? I personally believe we do. We have seen some of these aspects in the history of the church. In my own personal observation I have seen people get turned away fro the church because of their attire or because they were not as clean as sister or brother so and so. I have personally witnessed how the church will judge you if you don't conform to their ways don't get me wrong I know chruches have a protocol they have to follow and rules and bylaws as well but does those same rules and bylaws line up with God rules and bylaws? When did it become God's way to shun you if you couldn't pay a certain amount in your tithing and offerings? This I've witnessed as well. I have even been under attack in the church because I rocked the boat so to speak because I knew of something that wasn't lining up with the ways of God within the church house. I thought the Holy Spirit is suppose to quicken your spirit for those who had the Holy Spirit when things don't line up with God? Ummmm.
I know for sure that some pastors are using people close to them in their congregations to do some of their dirty bidding as to say that they keep their hands clean so to speak, but didn't Gods word just tell us that he looks on the inward part of man he looks at the intentions of the heart? God knows all and sees all their is nothing hid from him. I thought the Lord wanted us to come to him as we are, He will conform us into what he want us to be, so why does the church pre-judge people when they come to the church seeking God's help because of their present situation? Ummmm I have a problem with that! Where is the love of God in that?
What happened to the sermons preached on loving your fellow man and being a good Samaritan helping those in need? Now all I hear in any Sunday morning sermon is money, money, money, or we want to build big church to accommodate 5,000 or more people it has become a money thing with the churches of today. If its not that the pastor's are in competition to see who has the biggest house, church, congregation as well as who has the riches congregation not to even speak on them bring politicians into the church house. And crooked ones at that! But what God is saying to the church is this come way from your traditions and seek my face for my righteousness. Repent of your old ways and get it right before me while there is still time and for those of us who have not been doing as God has called us t odo now is the time to get up and do it before its too late!
God is telling us to seek Him for His divine order and instruction not follow man and his ways, get to know God for yourself and His Holy Spirit will lead and guide you unto all truths. Seek Him for His presence and all else will follow. Draw nigh to God. Choose this day whom YOU!, will serve.
