Bringing Jesus to the Hurting
A Challenge for those ready for change!
Well, I am learning that God is right all the time. He has my best interest in mind all the time. I guess I am truly understanding what He means by Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)
So Let me see if I can explain this the way God gave it to me. Ya'll praying for a Sister? Okay well, here goes and please do not shoot the messenger. If the message pricks your heart talk to God and if not shake it off.
First, I had to read the 29th chapter of Jeremiah to get a clear understanding and read in context what this scripture was referring to. Many times we claim something in error because we have taken it out of context. So in the 29th chapter of Jeremiah, Jeremiah is in a battle with the false prophets. Jeremiah is speaking what Jehovah has given him but the false prophets want to speak smooth things. So they have been battling prior to this chapter by speaking or preaching the Word of the Lord and here in 29th chapter they are writing it in letters. I guess you can call it heated fellowship. Actually, Let's call it what it was, there was dissension in the Body of Christ, in the chosen ones, the church. Sound familiar?
So the false prophets are taken into captivity as prophesied by Jeremiah by the leading of the Spirit of God even though "they" prophesied against it but instead of saying, "You (Jeremiah) were the true prophet speaking for God", they still argued with Jeremiah. Now while in captivity, the people began to become discouraged and want to be free of the dilemma.
Side note here: have you ever really wanted something so desperately that you could visualize it. Your desire for it caused you to begin to make decisions and movements toward it. You dreamed about it at night. You day dreamed about it. You lived, breathed, and ate it. You were drunk in the seductive allure of YOUR dream for you. You did nothing but talk about it. And then others started to see YOUR dream and tell you about how true it was and how to make it a reality. You could charge the atmosphere with your attraction to it. Well this is what the Children of Israel were doing here in the 29th chapter. They wanted to be set free so bad, to live the life they were living prior to this hiccup, that the false prophets began to tell the people what they wanted to hear. (Jeremiah 29:1 -9).
We know the power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), and we know that God is not mocked; whatsoever we sow that we will reap (Galatians 6:7). Oh wait it starts, Do not be deceived. Deceived, now that is a strong word. It means: to be false to, to fail to fulfill, to cheat, to ensnare, to cause to accept as true and valid what is false and invalid, to while away, to give false impression, to practice deceit. Synonyms of deceived is beguile, delude and mislead. Is the picture becoming clear?
Many of us have wanted to operate in a level of anointing God has not granted to us. We are so busying trying to be like this one or that one that we have deceived ourselves. We have dreamed dreams that were created by us. They were never meant to be ours. God did not give them to us. We willed it ourselves. We wanted it, so we deceived ourselves into thinking it was God speaking it over our lives. However, God is FAR from it. Then we want to blame God for not making it happen for us. Shame on us. OR!!!! May be it is what God intended but somehow we have deluded it. It's become unnatural and perverse. Again, shame on us.
Just like the Children of Israel, we looked for those that would agree with us and not tell us the truth about our situations. We wanted to continue to live in sin and put holy things in unholy places. We cant see that it is because of our own foolishness that God has allowed this calamity to come upon us. But this is not a sad news story, here comes the good stuff. WHEW!!
God says in v10-11; that He is going to perform His word. After a period of judgment, that He will come and make things right. Not because of us but because of His word. He has promises us some great things and only we can receive what He has for us. We must, however, be in right standing to receive it. Remember God is not mocked, you will reap what you sow.
He continues to say, that He knows the thoughts He has concerning us. WOW, He is a merciful and gracious God. He still wants us to become what He spoke over our lives, in spite of our own folly. See how Jeremiah 29:11 becomes alive even today.
So I am looking for six, (no) seven people who are ready to come out of captivity. Who are ready to see things as God sees them and not deceive themselves. Who are willing to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4) and live as God intended them to live. For 90-days, we will journey together out of captivity and into destiny. For real, we will become a new creature, old things will be passed away and all things will become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let's experience that expected end, that hope and future.
Only the serious need apply... If you are tired of getting the same results and looking for something new. You want all that God has in store for you and you are ready to stop deceiving yourself and grasping at straws. This program will be for you. I know this will not be easy but it will be rewarding. This is not a paid program...all you have to do to qualify is remove the rose colored glasses and see that you are your own worst enemy. Put your flesh under subjection to the Holy Spirit and desire to be held accountable. Follow God's instructions, Don't give up or quit, even if you slip and fall -- get back up again and move forward.
I know this is long and to some it might be hard to swallow but let me say it this way; What if there is SO much more in store for you but you will never achieve it because you think you have already arrived or you don't want to change YOUR ways of doing things to HIS ways.

10 This is what the LORD says: "When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. 15 You may say, "The LORD has raised up prophets for us in Babylon," 16 but this is what the LORD says about the king who sits on David's throne and all the people who remain in this city, your countrymen who did not go with you into exile- 17 yes, this is what the LORD Almighty says: "I will send the sword, famine and plague against them and I will make them like poor figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten. 18 I will pursue them with the sword, famine and plague and will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth and an object of cursing and horror, of scorn and reproach, among all the nations where I drive them. 19 For they have not listened to my words," declares the LORD, "words that I sent to them again and again by my servants the prophets. And you exiles have not listened either," declares the LORD.
20 Therefore, hear the word of the LORD, all you exiles whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon. 21 This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you in my name: "I will hand them over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will put them to death before your very eyes. 22 Because of them, all the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon will use this curse: 'The LORD treat you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon burned in the fire.' 23 For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives and in my name have spoken lies, which I did not tell them to do. I know it and am a witness to it," declares the LORD.
Message to Shemaiah
24 Tell Shemaiah the Nehelamite, 25 "This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You sent letters in your own name to all the people in Jerusalem, to Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the other priests. You said to Zephaniah, 26 'The LORD has appointed you priest in place of Jehoiada to be in charge of the house of the LORD; you should put any madman who acts like a prophet into the stocks and neck-irons. 27 So why have you not reprimanded Jeremiah from Anathoth, who poses as a prophet among you? 28 He has sent this message to us in Babylon: It will be a long time. Therefore build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.' "
29 Zephaniah the priest, however, read the letter to Jeremiah the prophet. 30 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 31 "Send this message to all the exiles: 'This is what the LORD says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has led you to believe a lie, 32 this is what the LORD says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the LORD, because he has preached rebellion against me.' " (KJV)
See even those that have prophesied over you lies and cause confusion in your life will have to be judged for what they did. God is a jealous God and He will not let another take his glory or cause His children to be lead astray. So are you ready? Let's be free...
